We finally meet our daughter!

Thursday January 5th 2012 @ 3:28 am we welcomed our daughter Bryn Noelle Kerr to the family.
She weighed in at 7lbs 12oz and 21inches.

Bryn's birth: I woke up at 11pm having contractions and couldn't sleep anymore so at around 1am i woke up Aryn and Grandpa Noel came to stay with Taylor and we made our way to the hospital. We checked into Labor and Delivery right around 2am and i was 8cm dialated so just about ready to go. I was set up in a Birthing suite and thankfully i didnt have to have an iv and once again opted for no pain meds so things were pretty easy going. My Dr. arrived and broke my water at 3:00am and after a short 28 minutes of pushing Bryn was born. She was what they refer to as "sunny-side-up" meaing her face was up instead of down so delivery was a little more difficult but i was lucky to have a doctor who was willing to sit back and let me be work through delivery at my own pace and allowed me to deliver her myself and pull her to my chest on the last push and see her face so that was a great experience for me as a mom :). I am thankful she is healthy and couldnt be happier with my birth experience If only pregnancies went so well....

We couldn't be happier with our family and feel so lucky to have two beautiful healthy children.
It has taken a while but as promised here are some pictures of Bryn and I will do my best to keep posting updates as time goes on. (I still haven't gotten to our christmas post...lol ) No one said i was going to be good at keeping a blog!

So far I'm not very good at this! The longest post EVER!!! lol

Let's play catch up :)
August 5th we found out we are having a little girl and are simply thrilled.

September 6th was my birthday and was very pleasantly suprized by my husband's dinner date and gift for me. It was a great day during a not so great time. (Pregnancy!)

September 24th I was rear-ended and our Honda was totaled and got to spend an evening in the E.R. and L & D at Kadlec to get checked out and to see if the babe was alright. After hours and hours all seemed okay for me to go home, but I never imagined what would follow. The time since has been full of Dr. visits for follow-up care and extra ultrasounds to check on baby and chiropractic care for me and regular O.B appts too... So much so that Taylor says "Doctor" anytime we say we are going bye-bye now.  :(

October 2nd was Taylor's 2nd birthday!

We kept it pretty low key since mommy was injured and most of our family and friends are so far away. He had a lot of fun though and got some great gifts. He got a bounce house and lots of fun toys and books. We had a bbq and had piggy, duck, and cow cupcakes :) and decorations. It was alot of fun. I can't believe my sweet baby boy is two and so quickly becoming a little man.

Although the past few months have been extremely stressful and exhausting both phyically and mentaly for me we have tried to do as much as we can together as a family of 3 before our new little one joins us in a few months. We have had play dates and gone to book readings and had our big family outing to the pumpkin patch, which was so much fun! We went on a hay ride and ate freshly made pumpkin donuts and picked our our pumpkins in the pumpkin patch and made our own freshly squeezed (by Aryn :) ) apple cider. We are looking forward to doing it all again next year ;)

Taylor also made the move from his toddler bed to his new twin size big boy bed. He loves it and Mommy and Daddy love being able to crawl into bed with him for night time stories and snuggles.

Halloween has also come and gone... After a week of trying to get Taylor to wear his costume and the screaming and crying and kicking we thought for sure that Halloween for Mr. 2yr old was gonna be a no go, but..... He put it on and did an amazing job saying Trick-or-treat and thank you and carried his little bucket all by himself. We all had alot of fun and it was so cute to see our little monkey enjoy his first Halloween of trick-or-treating.

That's all for now folks.... man that took a while... :)

Pregnancy #2

I haven't posted anything in a few months or mentioned my being pregnant yet, though everyone now knows. I am in the middle of my 16th week and I have to be honest about how difficult these past few months have been for me and how hard they have been on our family. When I was pregnant with Taylor and dealing with all the horrible sickness I only had myself to care for. Aryn was busy with school and then going back and forth across the state for work. This time around I have my almost two year old little bundle of energy to look after and care for and I cannot even express the exhaustion and the saddness and gulit that goes along with not feeling like I am able to care for my child because of my pregnancy. I am not the kind of person who asks for help and I take pride in caring for my family and have a hard time putting myself first so it has not been easy for me. It took a trip to the hospital to make me realize that I couldn't do it on my own and finally got me to give into taking the medication Zofran for anti nausea and vomiting. Thanks to the medication life got a little easier and I was able to start eating and drinking again but the Hyperemesis has yet to go away completely. I have since gone off the Zofran but am still taking another medication at night that I recently discovered I cannot do without quite yet. It has been hard to be excited when the journey so far has been so difficult, but I know that the end is near. I have stopped loosing weight and been doing much better being able to eat, although that part is the most difficult still (nothing tasts good when you have thrown it up for months ). I am no longer worried about dehydration since i am able to drink water now without throwing it up and am hopeful that the baby is doing okay in there. I never imagined it would be so hard on my body to carry a child, but I cannot express the love I have for both of my babies and wouldn't give that up for anything.

Sneaky sneaky...

After a trip to Costco this morning the little man was tired and in serious need of a nap as it was pushing noon by the time we arrived home. So off to bed he went....Well i heard him on the monitor and it sounded like he was in the front room so i thought nothing of it. I finished up what i was doing and went to look for him but he wasn't in his room....he wasn't in the front room...not in the living room....he was outside playing in his sandbox sporting only a pair of sweats. It is time to replace the safety lock on the slider that broke last week. After a little fit he came in and went down for his nap.

Taylor's first ski trip @ White Pass April 2011

 Taylor on the mountain
Finally no more marshmallow man outfit! :)
Crabby Monkey man on mommies back. Attempting to take a walk in snowshoes...didn't happen :(
My handsome little man loves the snow and sledding.
Skiing with grandma...he was happy until he saw daddy and wanted down.
Happy now skiing with daddy!!!

Taking an 19 month old skiing is a challenge and one that I admittedly wasn't really up for, but in the end it  turned out to be a wonderful weekend. The weather was great for the majority of the weekend, our view of the the mountain and the lodge were great and we got a show of the trail groomers working in the dark which was pretty awesome. Like tractors in the sky! We were able to spend time with our adorable little nephews (who are sadly not so little anymore) and it was such a joy to watch how in love with them Taylor is. It is a treat for us to spend time with the boys and my wonderful brother and sister-in-law and thanks to my mother-in-law we were able to have a family weekend getaway and we really enjoyed (almost) every minute of it. 5 adults and 3 kiddos is gets to be a bit much at times no matter how much fun you are having when you are in a condo for a weekend. lol...
It was such a joy to see my son's face light up with excitement riding down the hill . I guess i might just have a little skier on my hands or at least a little snow bunny :) We'll see next season...
